K_Db - Conference Registration Management
K_Db is a tool for online registration and registration data management. All You need is a webserver with PHP support and a MySQL database (I might add support for other databases upon request), and You are able to manage multiple events with custom registration forms, payment options and data reports.
Features:
- Manage multiple events
- Highly customizable interface (e.g. number of abstracts, limit number of participants, graduation of prices)
- Choose mandatory/voluntary form fields
- Custom text for confirmation email/message
- Customers may log in and change data
- Assemble Your own tables to view/edit registration data
- User management for administrators
- Language setting per event (available languages: english and german - more to come)
- Data export
- and best of it all: It's free.
Requirements:
- a webserver (e.g. Apache or IIS) with PHP 4.1 or later
- MySQL 3.23.32 or newer
- a MySQL database (tables will be created by the setup script)
- a web-browser (for installation, administration and - of course - registration)
Installation:
- Untar or unzip the distribution. Make sure that the directory structure stays intact. E. g. run "tar -xvzf k_db_2.0.tar.gz". A folder "k_db_2" containing all files from the distribution will be created.
- Open http://your.server/k_db_2/setup.php in a web-browser of Your choice and follow the instructions.
Known issues:
- Due to missing support for modern internet standards the adminstration pages do not work in MS Internet Explorer. Using Mozilla or Opera is suggested. The registration pages work with all tested browers (IE, Opera, Mozilla, Konqueror)
You find the zip- and tar-archives of the latest version of K_Db in the download section.
